Adirondack 601 Bourbon, a whiskey from Utica, New York, does not carry an age statement (the phrase "aged less than 4 years" provides no specific information) and is made with a high-corn mash bill. Comprised of 100% locally sourced corn, it closely resembles corn whiskey, with the exception of aging in new barrels (corn whisky is restricted to used barrels, if aged at all). This product stands out as one of the few bourbons employing a single-grain recipe. As it is released in batches, variations are possible.

When I smell the whisky, it brings to mind buttered popcorn in an old cinema or caramel popcorn on Christmas Eve. It has an antique, buttery, spicy, and caramelly character. I also sense some vegetable oiliness. The finish offers a smooth warmth.
I wish I had positive things to mention besides the fact that I acquired it at a low price, but it's difficult. It's mushy, medicinal, and frankly peculiar. It possesses that youthful boldness, combined with an unusual funk.
Sweet and balanced, with incredibly rich flavor and just a slight tangy finish noticeable right on the nose. It has minimal lingering taste and a wonderfully smooth finish. One of the best bourbons I've ever experienced.
This is truly awful. I once aged corn mash in basement barrels... it tasted exactly like that.
Perhaps the excitement from the store staff influenced my expectations, but this did not meet them at all.
Not impressed at all. I will finish the bottle but will not repurchase it.
