(Good Spirits Co. Glasgow – Virtual 10th Birthday Whisky Tasting, June 4th, 2021). Nose: Sherry, fruit, ash, char Palate: Leather, oak, fruit compote, berries, figs Finish: Lingering intense finish. Licorice, wood, more dark fruit and dates. Curiously, this is actually an 11-year-old, but it was marketed as a 10-year-old for the GSC 10th anniversary celebration. Surprisingly minimal cask influence. This is a potent whisky. It doesn't feel like 60.9% ABV, but you couldn't call it a mild drink! Very enjoyable. It ranked fourth among the six whiskies, receiving 17% (8 votes) of the total votes for the evening's favorite. 94% (44 attendees) indicated they enjoyed the whisky. This was my preferred dram of the tasting. I enjoyed it enough to purchase a bottle afterward.
