The bottle's shape is unusual, and the label is a military green, not very appealing, but who cares? The cork is plain and seems low quality. On the nose: green apples, faint smoke, mint, citrus, bubble gum. Palate: it's reminiscent of grappa with smoke, a salty quality, and cinnamon. Smooth and spicy finish.

About this bottle
The BenRiach Peated Quarter Cask, made from peated malted barley, undergoes its entire aging process in quarter casks. These smaller barrels intensify the wood-to-whisky interaction and accelerate maturation. Introduced in June 2016, this was the inaugural release following Brown-Forman's acquisition of the brand's parent company earlier that year. This single malt has no age statement, is non-chill-filtered, and is bottled at 46% ABV.
