Hunter Lawson 3.0

This intense Rye Whiskey was crafted by Master Blender Christopher Cohen for Carl Bender, the founder of Treasure Island Distillery, located on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay. It's a high-rye whiskey with a mash bill of 92% 9-year-old rye and 8% 13-year-old corn. Some of the spirit was aged for an additional 14 months in Hoffmeister Barrels. It begins with a spicy profile featuring notes of coriander, nutmeg, and dark cherry. The rich middle adds notes of caramel, vanilla, parsley, hints of cream, and dark red fruit, leading to a long and full finish with notes of rye and pepper. Aging periods include May/October 2020, March 2021, February, and August 2022.

I'm not actually tasting batch 2; that's just the only option available here. The nose has a perfumy, crayon-like scent. The flavor is something I can't quite identify, but it's very distinctive. I'm a fan.

Ladonna Holmes 3.3

The aroma is a little off for me. But the palate delivers. Light body, pretty big flavor. Spices, cinnamon candy, honeyed apricots.

Keaton Farias 4.5

Among the finest Ryes I've experienced. Exceptionally smooth. Caramel, apple, vanilla, cherry notes detected.

Leanna Adair 3.0

Mostly dull, but it would function well as a mixer.

Tristen Rubio 2.0

Thin, Rye. Lacks a punch.
