A delicate bottling of a 17-year-old Ben Nevis single malt distilled in May 1999 & bottled in 2017 after a finishing period in a cask that previously held Madeira! Only 333 bottles were produced. It has an herbaceous & vegetal start with notes of basil leaf, blackberry bush, the sweetness of malt loaf & caramelized fruit; a rich middle adds notes of Jammie Dodgers, thyme honey, a hint of mineral-y smoke, leather & almond pastries, leading to a delicate finish with notes of milky coffee, redcurrant & mint.
