After allowing the bottle to air for a few minutes, the sweet characteristics intensify pleasingly. Rated 4/5. Served on ice, on the palate. It's smooth, with spicy, sweet, and oaky flavors, and a slight alcoholic sharpness. The second taste is considerably smoother in its conclusion. Rated 4/5. I would suggest pairing this with a mixer that complements rather than overwhelms the flavors. For my preference, it was excellent on ice. Considering its price, this is a very commendable rum.

Smells like molasses, dried plums, dates, and coconut. Tastes of molasses, honey, vanilla, caramel, liquorice, plum, and a whisper of peppery spice.
I'm still undecided if this is meant for sipping or mixing. I'm leaning towards mixing.
