About this bottle
The Jamaica 2001 is part of Planteray’s Historical Vintages range, which also features the Trinidad 1999 and Barbados 2001. Similar to other releases in the Plantation Rum Collection, the Jamaica 2001 is made using traditional methods. The rum then undergoes Plantation’s characteristic aging process: rums are transported from their origin country to the Ferrand estate in France, where they mature for several months in small French oak barrels.

Less dark in the glass than anticipated, with good viscosity. Fruity and sweet, with very little burn and a surprisingly short finish. Graham.

Vanilla, lots of vanilla and arrack aroma. Also oak barrels. The taste is sweet and spicy, aromatic. The aging is noticeable again.
