I found the finish here to be quite strange and it detracted from the drink for me. Something like moldy hazelnuts? I'm not sure. I don't feel right rating it, as this might not be what the distillers intended to release.

About this bottle
This Single Barrel Bourbon, introduced in July 2016, follows their initial Old Log Cabin Bourbon. It was bottled from cask #67. The mashbill mirrors the original, featuring 51% corn and 49% malted barley. Distillation occurs in a hybrid German Kothe still, and the spirit matures in new American oak with a #3 char. This expression saw extended barrel time, aging for just under three years, and is presented at a slightly increased alcohol content of 44.5% ABV.
