Singleton of Glendullan 18 Year

Lightest tasting whisky of any kind I have ever encountered. Unusually light and a matching flavor profile. Excellent whisky for introducing Scotch to individuals who dislike whisky... like your wife/girlfriend. Will not purchase again and I can see this bottle ending up in the back row of my collection, so it may last for 10-20 years or longer as I will not be reaching for it very often.

Tastes like virtually nothing. It's 40% ABV, so I didn't have high expectations, but wow. Not much is happening here. Minimal aroma. No initial taste when sipping. On the exhale, there's a faint hint of... scotch. Glad this was a gift and not a purchase. I wouldn't even suggest it for newcomers to scotch, as this is a poor representation of what should be the start of an enjoyable hobby.

What's the purpose of this whisky at 40% ABV? Perhaps it's suitable for introducing whisky to infants or for individuals over 80 who need to be cautious with strong, flavorful spirits. But with a 40% ABV and such a mild, barely perceptible taste, what is the point of this whisky?

The nose starts with mellow toffee notes. It's certainly easy on the palate, very well-balanced. It begins sweet like toffee, and the hazelnut finish takes a while to develop. Quite good, though not quite as exceptional as I'd hoped, it's still solid.

An enjoyable drink. Butterscotch on the nose. Tastes like cotton candy with a hint of peat. It has an oiliness often found in Glenfiddich. I found the finish to be a bit too brief for my preference.

Aroma is quite average, with grain notes apparent when held, and cherry notes from the glass. The flavor is the highlight, featuring nutty and malty characteristics. It concludes with a lengthy finish.
