Wow, that aroma! It's like creamy chocolate, a hint of nuts, with cozy vanilla and maple notes (distinctly different from Angel's Envy Rum finished Rye). To borrow a line from a comedy movie, "I want to live in here." Palate: Subtle cherry, a touch of spice, and mild fruitiness. There's some warmth, and you can taste the peppery rye. Finish: The spice and heat from the finish take the lead. The spice sticks around with a little sweetness, but a lot of it. It's smooth, like a Cask Strength, haha. Overall, the complexity is definitely there. Curious to taste future versions and see how they compare. Definitely worth a try.

This was a surprise find at a small Italian market in San Diego. The aroma has wood, maple syrup, vanilla, char, caramel, pear, and tobacco, plus strawberry. The palate is spicy with charred wood, cinnamon, and black and white pepper, but sweet caramel, vanilla, and cherry also come through. The finish lingers with spicy Red Hots. Overall, an interesting concept, a nice whiskey, and a fair price for something I'll probably never encounter again.
Thanks to a friend This is excellent. Sampled neat, it's warm on my palate with notes of vanilla, pepper, oak, caramel, chocolate.
Sharp and uncomplicated.
