Glass: Glencairn, rested for 15 minutes. Color: Medium amber. Nose: Strong notes of butterscotch and caramel. Palate: Banana flavors give way to bread and baking spice. Finish: Not as warm as expected for the proof, but very long. Splash: A vegetal note appears. Ice: No new flavors are revealed, but the vegetal note becomes dominant. Overall: 9.5/10 - I had this bottle for a long time, considering trading it. It sat on a shelf in my basement for over a year. I finally tried it, and I'm amazed. From the nose to the finish (and beyond), this bottle is full of surprises, and this was just the initial pour. I'm eager to see how it might evolve over time.

11-year-old blended bourbon finished in Rye casks. I wanted to broaden my palate, but it's not something I would purchase again. Not bad, but I definitely detect the rum influence more than desired.
