Smell: vanilla, caramel, and brown sugar. Typical notes. Some ethanol sting. Also a hint of fruit, like crisp pear. Taste: pear, rye spice, maybe a touch of apple. Finish: A long, warm embrace, complex. This is one of my favorite ryes. The barrel I have was chosen by a blind tasting group. It's incredibly impressive.
