Nose: Extremely sweet. We approve. Palate: A bit hotter. Rye characteristics emerge. Finish: The heat continues, but I'm detecting intriguing fruit notes like cantaloupe and caramelized almonds.
Bottle #18. Smells like vanilla extract, maple syrup, and something I can't quite identify. Shortbread, maple syrup, and vanilla. This is difficult to describe, but it's enjoyable.
Sweetness at the beginning, with detectable notes of scotch and Irish whiskey on the finish. I appreciate the extended finish and warmth; it doesn't seem like 127 proof, which is a positive.
Distinctive flavor with undertones of peatiness, similar to scotch.
