Nose: Blueberries, blackberries, oak, cinnamon, caramel, crème brûlée, vanilla, toasted peanuts. The aroma is incredible. Just waves of different wonderful scents. Toasted oak appears later. Even later, chocolate-covered blackberry. After many minutes, lots of cinnamon and even later citrus fruit. Body: Full. Palate: Toasted caramel, juicy chocolate-covered blackberry on toasted crème brûlée with cinnamon stick shavings on top. Later, tangerine. Finish: Medium long and warming. Later, smoky char, leather with sweet blackberries. It has the great smoky finish I enjoy. Note: Well, I inquired with a friend about aged MGP, and he mentioned this substantial release was coming out… so I purchased it. Let's see what it delivers. Tasted neat. This is one of the most intriguing and flavor-rich bourbons I've encountered in a while. Truly fantastic.

Jonathan Valenzuela 4.5

Remarkable aroma, with a lengthy finish. The toasted barrel imparts a very smooth character, not as bold as many of their spirits, but enjoyable.

Cheryl Haney 4.0

Dark and mellow overall. Lots of burnt peanuts on the palate. Drinks smoothly, below its stated proof. Very pleasant!

Mitzi Mcnair 4.5

Strong finisher with oaky notes and licorice and fruit stripe gum, full mouth feel.

Nona Merchant 4.5

Fruitier than the original version.
