Incredible! This is my first impression review and I must say, I'm impressed. I admit I'm somewhat biased since a certain single malt is a favorite in my home. I first smelled the whiskey in my hands, letting the alcohol evaporate to see what scents remained. A potent coffee and chocolate aroma, very rich. Nose: Perhaps it's just me, but I didn't detect many distinct flavors. There was some caramel, like a bourbon, but with a darker undertone. Taste: A strong smoky presence right away, though not like a peated variety. It had notes of toffee, dark stone fruit, earthiness, and though it's hard to pinpoint, almost a slight trace of licorice. I'm not usually a fan of licorice, but this was quite good. Finish: The initial taste persists, with the smokiness coating the palate alongside dark chocolate. Very satisfying, not overwhelming, and pleasant. It would pair wonderfully with a medium to full-bodied cigar.

A robust and intricate whiskey, matured for at least four years and bottled at 100 proof. The aroma presents dark chocolate, charred oak, and cinnamon, with undertones of dark fruit. The palate is full-bodied, revealing molasses, caramel, and spicy rye, with a pronounced oak presence. The finish is enduring and warming, leaving behind lingering spices and cocoa. It's a rich, potent rye whiskey that stands out for its depth and strong flavor, making it excellent for savoring neat or in cocktails emphasizing rye.

I sampled it neat (and thanks to a friend). There are abundant notes of spearmint and spice. Honestly, I learned something new tonight, and I need to revisit this. It was absolutely delicious.

Aroma of rye, dark chocolate, horse blanket, oak, vanilla, honeydew melon, and apple. The palate is moderately spicy with vanilla, rye, mint, a hint of mezcal, and cherry.

This one is intriguing. It doesn't drink like a typical Rye; it has a solid burn going down and then lingers on the finish. Quite tasty.
