Exclusive to Amazon, this Auchentoshan expression begins maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. It then receives a finishing period in ex-Sauvignon Blanc wine barriques. Bottling occurs at 47% ABV, with availability starting November 15, 2019.

Nose: Delicate, crisp green fruit. Floral notes. Palate: Light body, with a peppery character, green grapes, and honeydew melon. Finish: Increased pepper intensity, accompanied by vanilla custard and apple. I sampled this chilled, as suggested, and I must say it is exceptionally easy to drink. If you're familiar with the contribution of Nelson Sauvin hops in beer, this whiskey offers a comparable experience.
Spirits, leather, apple, vanilla, herbs, pepper, almonds. An excellent specimen for a cozy evening and unhurried enjoyment.
It has a scent reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc, and its taste only carries over that freshness. Serve it cold.
