Spicy and malty, it becomes a bit sweet with a touch of water. Honey, light fruits, and a lingering burn. I'm lowering the rating to 3.5 stars. It's still too potent for its proof. It's not my favorite Arran.

It continues to improve. The bottle has been open for a few months, and it's really, really good. Strong oak influence. If you enjoy that (vanilla, fudge, etc.), this is for you; otherwise, look elsewhere.
Bright, tasty, very young. Tart, almost tangy. This is a very well-crafted young whisky.
Vanilla, Rich aroma and body. Surprisingly drinkable for cask strength.
Festival tasting, 2020.
