Aromas of fruit with a subtle yet noticeable peat. Hints of citrus and nuts. The nose is full and mellow, very approachable. Vanilla emerges later. Quite sweet and notably potent due to the 55% ABV. Oak is prominent, yet it maintains a degree of smoothness despite its youth. Adding water shifts the peat towards actual smoke. The palate becomes truly delightful when diluted to around 48% ABV, presenting a spectrum from sweet to sour, bitter to spicy. It's well-rounded and engaging. I liked it, but the alcoholic strength is a bit overwhelming for me, masking much of the true flavor.
