Smells like: Nail polish, red berries, caramel Tastes like: Caramel, sweet, dried fruit - raisins & dates, vanilla, cinnamon, allspice Leaves you with: A lengthy finish. Hints of Christmas. Sherry, vanilla, caramel. A green, menthol and white pepper note on the finish. From a 500-liter Oloroso sherry butt. This is overwhelmingly a sherry-forward spirit. Rich, full-bodied, fruity, and decadent. An outstanding whisky. It was the top choice out of the six samples, receiving 55% of the final vote for favorite of the evening. Everyone present indicated they enjoyed the whisky. Two selections were significantly more popular, which may have unfairly impacted the perception of the other spirits.
