About this bottle
Samantha and John Collins introduced this brandy in tribute to Samantha's great grandfather, Arthur "Skipper" Ford, who created his own applejack (American apple brandy) using fruit from his Howell Mountain, California ranch. The brandy is made from a mash of 100% apples, specifically the Arkansas Black and Golden Delicious varieties. Following distillation, the spirit ages for three years: two years in former cognac barrels, followed by one year in former bourbon barrels. It is then bottled at 49% ABV.
