The nose evokes a soothing combination of coastal and woody peat. The peat becomes more pronounced on the palate, evolving into a more medicinal, iodine-like character. It has a chewy texture that coats the mouth. Notes of pound cake, cracked pepper, and toast crusts are present. Adding water makes the texture slightly more oily and introduces vanilla cream. The finish is semi-sweet, with a dominant peat presence. While well-crafted, for the price, I would still opt for the standard AD releases.
