Nose: Tropical fruit, honey, citrus, currants, sweet, yeasty, Danish pastry, candy. Palate: Fresh, zesty, orange, citrus, tropical fruit (mango), jelly baby candies, orchard fruit (peach & apple), black pepper, char, hint of peat. Finish: Long finish. Sweet, char, damp peat, citrus, milk chocolate, candied lemon peel, waxy. There's a delightful citrus sweetness, with a base of char and hints of damp peat. This is a fantastic dram - youthful, layered and complex for a 7-year-old whisky. It came first out of the six drams, with 53% of the final vote for favorite of the night. 94% of those present said they enjoyed the whisky.
