A well-rounded, independent Ardmore, with a Madeira cask finish! Distilled in early 2002 and aged for fifteen years until bottling for the Chieftain's line in May 2017 by Ian Macleod. Production was limited to 519 bottles. It presents a subtle beginning with flavors of Rum-soaked raisin, Dundee cake, toasted cinnamon, flambéed pineapple, and burnt lemon; its development brings notes of peppery peat, a hint of honey-glazed ham, cinnamon, ginger, and quince, leading to an extended and potent conclusion with hints of honied barley and red chili.
