This unopened bottle has been in my cellar for 16 years. I finally opened it. Bourbon is my usual preference. Still, I tried this. It offers a distinct flavor profile compared to bourbon. It's quite smooth and enjoyable, however. I'm struggling to pinpoint the aroma and taste. Perhaps anise and fruit leather? It possesses a subtle heat. The taste persists well after swallowing. Enjoyable for enthusiasts, less so for others. I wouldn't consume it frequently, but it's a pleasant choice for an after-dinner drink on the rocks.

Mark Shockley 3.5

This rum is quintessentially Jamaican. It has a strong barrel influence with very little sweetness. I wouldn't recommend it for sipping because it lacks sweetness, but it's excellent for an upscale drink or the ultimate rum punch.

Valencia Huff 4.0

I enjoyed this as an easy after-work sipper without much thought. It's enjoyable, not overly complicated.

Ted Kinney 3.0

It's fine on its own, but shines when mixed. Now called Signature Blend.

Irving Zheng 3.0

Tasted before distillation. Good with water, ice, or in a mixed drink.

Estelle Saunders 3.0

Earthy spices and smooth - enjoyed it over ice.
