A friend acquired this bottle directly from the distillery. I was curious because I really enjoy their standard offering. I'm very pleased with this direction. It's not quite as outstanding as their cask-strength peated whisky, but I would certainly recommend this.

The Andalusia Bottled in Bond Single Malt arrived in November 2020, marking the first bottled-in-bond whiskey from Texas. This spirit is crafted from entirely malted barley and matures for four years in 53-gallon oak barrels with a char level of #4. It is presented at 100 proof and can only be purchased at the Andalusia distillery, located in the Texas Hill Country.

Nose: Molasses, orange zest, and subtle black tea. Palate: Brown sugar, diner coffee, oak, and banana bread. Finish: Oak tannins but not too astringent, with a lingering oak spice.
Inviting aroma that warms you. The palate is full of fragrance and lingers for a long time.
