AnCnoc 16, pronounced [a-nock], is a Highland malt aged solely in ex-bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% alcohol by volume and is not chill filtered. The spirit is distilled at Knockdhu Distillery but sold under the AnCnoc brand to prevent confusion with the nearby Knockando Distillery.

It strikes me that AnCnoc is often overlooked. Placed aside for later, destined to gather dust. This bottling should hopefully reveal the splendor of this Highland to the unaware admirer. It's quite woody, but its fruity character compensates for that.
Aroma: vanilla, citrus peel, mineral notes, anise, linden, herbs, honey. Taste: dry, mineral, bittersweet, very harmonious. Finish: mellow, full-bodied, warming, slightly bitter. Overall: a quite respectable and flavorful dram.
A lovely pour, a touch sweet, surprisingly vibrant with hints of citrus/lemongrass. I'd recommend enjoying it on a warm summer evening.
It had a somewhat medicinal taste. It was quite potent in the middle. It's nice, but not worth buying a whole bottle.
Fruity with notes of white wine and apples. It sometimes has a slightly salty character. The finish has vanilla and nutty notes.
This is incredibly revitalizing, sharp like a cool wind, ideal for a warm-weather Scotch.
