I was uncertain about an Indian whisky, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It has a light, very clear, golden color. Delightful. The nose is intensely sweet, with honey, cinnamon, freshly baked gingerbread, lemon, and rosehip fruit. It's soft on the palate with a mild sting, featuring cinnamon, fennel, white chocolate chip cookies, followed by the bitterness of salmiac licorice mixed with dark chocolate. Throughout, there's a 'syrupy' sweetness, as if infused with honey. It's full of baked pears and caramelized sugar. Not for traditionalists, but I enjoy it this way. I would definitely purchase it again.
