Alexander Murray & Co. 2011 10 Year Highlands Single Malt

An elegant Single Malt Whiskey from Highland, Scotland, aged for at least 10 years and bottled in 2011. It presents an aromatic beginning with notes of grain, fruit, wood, herbs, and spices; a balanced middle adds notes of malt, citrus, malt, caramel, and oak; leading to a death of medium length with notes of honey, iodine, sea spray, and smoke. Nose: Heavy caramel, butterscotch, soft leather, citrus, cake, green apple. Palate: Soft and sweet with vanilla, leather, caramel, cake.

Its main advantage is its cost. A strong lingering aftertaste. It's more enjoyable in a cocktail or for cooking.

Honey, oats, grain, a touch of dried apricots and heather. Warm and summery

Offers good value. It's a standard highland malt, but at a budget-friendly cost.
