Spiced cake, cinnamon candy, apple juice, orange pomander, and nut pie. The taste is similar. Spicy cinnamon lingers on the finish. The alcohol hits the back of the throat more than the front. The end brings espresso and a smoky, tar-like note. As someone who prefers traditional spirits, I've always been particular about proof and have enjoyed many A'Bunadh releases. They're consistently good, no matter the batch (this is Batch 63). Would I purchase a different batch? Yes. 4.25.
