Horace Callaway 3.8

The image of this whisky in the application is inaccurate; it depicts a blended variety. I've sampled a peated single malt with a black label. Visuals: 22, Taste: 19, Finish: 19, Balance: 19. The color is a pale yellow-gold. It's peaty and smoky as anticipated, but the flavor is somewhat soft. I didn't feel the need to add water, even with 46% ABV. There are faint fruity notes and hints of honey. A very reasonable choice given the cost.

Joesph Welch 3.5

The aroma presents peat, pears, chocolate, and smoke. On the palate, there's peat, honey, leather, tea, and brine; it's rather gentle. The finish is warm, peated, bitter, woody, and briny, with a lasting impression. Adding water increases the bitterness, sourness, and heat, making it easily overwhelmed.

Louise Manning 3.0

A peaty, almost briny flavor with a sharp heat, a very clean finish, and almost no lingering aftertaste.

Josiah Nieto 3.5

A sweet, inviting aroma of peat. Classic salty coastal peat on the palate. Floral, earthy oak. A lingering finish.

Rex Westfall 2.3

Citrus, herbs, and peat. An excellent value whisky

Bentley Guillen 4.0

Smoky, smooth, fruity/citrusy
