291 Fresh Colorado Whiskey

Visually, this bourbon mash moonshine is as clear as water. And thin, slightly oily legs slowly descend the glass. The nose is not very complex, but either through suggestion or otherwise, it does present as “fresh.” There are notes of corn dust, ethanol, granola cereal, minty toothpaste, and mild cleaning products. The palate has a smooth texture, with flavors of corn, watermelon candy, and basil leaves. But it leaves you feeling refreshed, like Colorado snow. The finish is long-lasting but gradually fades with sweetness and a clean aftertaste. This is a fine clear spirit. Obviously, its bourbon counterpart is far superior, but as a raw, unaged whiskey, it is quite respectable! I like it and suggest a taste. Thanks to the distillery! Cheers!
