13th Colony Southern Corn Whiskey

A relative shared this whiskey with me and it's good. It's produced in Americus, GA, and as a native of a small Georgia town, I was curious about their product. The contents are a true corn whiskey, and it took some adjustment as this was my first experience with an all-corn whiskey. It's sweet and smooth, with a slight sting as it goes down. My main critique of this whiskey is its shallow flavor. Many bourbons I've tried have evolving tastes that shift and change in the mouth, but this corn whiskey, while sweet and somewhat mellow, doesn't offer any such variation. Again, this is my first corn whiskey, and perhaps this is typical. It's not a complex whiskey, but it's also not a weak, insubstantial drink. I plan to try this whiskey again in a few months to see if either the whiskey or my perception has changed.

Clean flavors and smooth to drink. Clearly successful.

Corny. Smooth. Decent.
