The aroma is thick with malt, a touch of wood polish, gingerbread, deep molasses, white chocolate, dill, rye bread, and vanilla with light caramel. The palate features dill transitioning into gingerbread spice with some moderate wood notes, finishing with intense malt/rye bread and almost a nutty chocolate flavor. Adding water significantly boosts the oak and spice/gingerbread characteristics. I sampled this at an event a year or two ago and really liked it, finally getting a whole bottle. Honestly, others didn't seem to enjoy it much. I can understand the complaints about a "craft green pine sap" note, as it's somewhat present here. I enjoyed it enough that I either don't perceive that issue or I actually like the flavor.
