About this bottle

This 22 year-old peated blended malt from Islay and the Islands concludes the Yula trilogy, named for the Norse goddess Yula, credited with creating Islay. The cask-strength whisky, bottled at 51.2% ABV, is presented without chill filtration or added color. Production was limited to 900 bottles, released in select retail locations starting September 2017.

A distinguished final bottling in the Yula series has arrived! Following the Yula 20 and 21-Year-Old releases, this is the Yula 22-Year-Old blended malt, crafted from peated whiskies sourced from Islay and the Islands. It possesses a maritime origin with hints of sea salt, clean ozone air, tobacco, and leather. Its complex journey adds notes of sweet peat, pepper, coal dust, oak smoke, and chocolatey sweetness, leading to a prolonged and balanced conclusion with essences of barley, warm spices, tar, and soot.
