About this bottle

This limited edition release presents Kentucky straight bourbon aged between 4-12 years. It incorporates Limestone Branch Distillery's own distillate, crafted with heirloom white corn. The bourbon undergoes initial aging in new, charred oak barrels before being finished in char #3 wine casks. Bottled at 101 proof, 12,000 bottles were produced, becoming available in October 2018.

$109.99 Myrtle beach 11/29/19 Opened 12/24/19 This is quite harsh. A lot of burn! In two separate blind tastings, this ranked last and second-to-last in both. I'm very disappointed with this. Not worth the price, or even $29 in my opinion. Weller Reserve, Evan Williams Single Barrel, Noah's Mill, and WhistlePig 10 Year Old significantly outperformed this in the tasting.

Irving Collazo 3.8

There's more wine influence on the nose than in previous vintages. It smells of sweet fruit. The palate is interesting, seeming to shift between thin and full-bodied. It's sweet but becomes dry and very peppery at the conclusion. Another successful release from the Limited Edition series. 8/4/19

Archer Barbour 3.8

I've sampled this numerous times from my own collection but had a serving from a friend's bottle. It has a very pronounced leather finish that I don't recall from prior tastings. I'll need to revisit my own bottle.

Monroe Beltran 4.0

This is my second favorite Limited Edition, following the 2017 release. The wine barrel influence on this still provides rounded, berry notes, while the spice seems amplified, likely due to the increased char. Excellently executed.

Janel Salvador 4.8

From bottle number 66-106, signed by Stephen Beam. It's amazing. Extremely easy to drink. Flavors of brown sugar, vanilla, and a hint of mint. The aroma is fantastic. Lucky to have had the chance to try this.

Brittney Bridges 3.8

It's a bit harsh. I added a few drops of distilled water, and it opened up nicely. This is a delightful bourbon.
