This is an acceptable bourbon, but its price is too high, which impacts my rating. It's nowhere near as good as their original outlaw bourbon. I can't recall the exact price, perhaps $120-130? Certainly not worth that amount. The peppery harshness on the first sip, which I loved in the original, has been significantly reduced. There isn't enough complexity to compensate. The mezcal flavor is present, but that's about it – it's an average bourbon with a hint of agave flavor and an artificial sweetness in its aroma and finish. If it were priced around $50, I would have rated it 3-3.5 stars. However, it simply doesn't justify the cost.
