An elegant, cask-strength Japanese Whisky from a small distillery that ceased operations in 1998. Some of the bottled spirit is up to twenty years old, as whisky from the distillery was stored in alternative containers before being finished in bourbon and wine casks. It presents an aromatic beginning with hints of smoke and caramel; a rich middle adds notes of vanilla and phenols; concluding with a slightly bitter end featuring sherry and spicy oak.
