The nose shows a distinct wood influence. Banana, incense, eucalyptus, and a faint cherry. The alcohol is present but smooth, with a spirit-like quality. With concentration, some dulce de leche emerges. On the palate, dulce de leche and eucalyptus are dominant. An intermediate spiciness between white and black pepper. Vanilla is present. The finish is short in terms of the main body but has a long-lasting presence of jasmine and eucalyptus. Sweet and fresh simultaneously. Unique and of high quality. An essential experience at least once in a lifetime, although it already partly departs from typical whisky standards. Its price-quality ratio could be debated.

It is definitely interesting and intense, but I don't get near all the flavors others seem to. I get black pepper on the nose, with the cedar, and a very, very slight hint of cherry. The taste is intense cedar, with what seems like smoke, but I don't think it's peated. A little baking spice. It soon changes to cough syrup, which really reduces the score for me. If it can be bought for roughly $70, it's okay. For $96, pass.

I'm quite fond of this whiskey. It has abundant cinnamon spice and, as one might expect, a note reminiscent of cherries! Orchard fruit flavors are present, like apple and pear. There's no real burn. Very pleasing.

Spicy cinnamon and a hint of pine on the nose, followed by woody notes. The palate offers initial woodiness, then spice, some tart fruit, and a delicate floral end.

Aroma - Light Fruit (cantaloupe) Flavor - Fruit, citrus (lemon) Opinion - My favorite Japanese whiskey discovered so far. Enjoyable. The Japanese cedar note is distinctive.
