NOSE: buttery, apple, strawberry, floral, honey PALATE: flavors shift from sweet fruit to sweet caramel butter, ending with a mild candied ginger note. OVERALL: Clearly similar in profile to Yamazaki distiller’s edition. If anything, it's a bit more balanced and refined.

The aggressive taste is not unpleasant. Flavors of flowers and grains are present, with the burn complementing the prominent tastes. An herbal, medicinal note underlies the grain, which is interesting. This flavor persists into the finish. The flavors are distinctive, earning points for originality.
The nose has Mizunara and cherry notes, while the taste features black cherry and Mizunara oak. A long finish of toasted lychee and Mizunara oak.
Balanced between cask char and honey.
