A single cask release from a distillery where sake was placed in a Bourbon barrel, allowing their single malt to mature in it for three years. It has a strong, sweet impact, with an underlying spice. The spice and richness are well-matched, and there are too many flavors for me to identify. I really enjoy it, though; it's unique.

Not excessively complex, this single malt goes down with minimal burn. Definitely worth trying!
It was actually the Akashi single malt NAS, but I couldn't locate that one on distiller.
The ex-bourbon influence is evident. It also has a pungent quality.
