I took a chance on this when placing an online order, as this distillery isn't distributed in my area, and it's a bottled-in-bond American single malt! Looking back at my order history, I'm embarrassed I paid $100 for it. After two servings, I poured the rest down the drain, which is rare for me, but I'd rather waste it than continue drinking something bad. It's simply a thin, unengaging experience with an unpleasant bitterness at the end. I shared it with a friend and immediately apologized after tasting it and seeing their reaction. For your American single malt funds, consider Westward cask strength instead.

Appearance: Dark amber Smell: Hints of caramel, maple, and oak Taste: Starts with a burn that mellows into a coating mouthfeel, revealing maple, oak, leather, and then chocolate. The finish is long. A splash of water smooths the burn and brings out cream, vanilla, and more baking spice.
