Barrel: 1308. Smell: freshly cut wood, honey, allspice. Taste: orange, wood, fresh spices. The end is long, hot, and a bit spicy. Adding water makes the smell sweeter and more balanced, and brings out more citrus in the taste. Overall: what a fantastic rye! A new favorite.
Excellent for cocktails or enjoying on the rocks; it has a bit of a bite, which I appreciate.
