Wood's High Mountain Distillery Alpine Rye

Appearance: Clear, vibrant amber. Extremely slow-moving legs Nose: Simple, with notes of pepper, rye, malted grains, and subtle hints of caramel Palate: Initially sweet, quickly followed by a peppery spice. The other grains contribute a biscuity flavor. Adding a bit of water brings out the vanilla and caramel from the barrel, along with a mild chili pepper note. Finish: A fairly simple, light spiciness. Moderate intensity, but it lingers.

Solid, flavorful rye. Prominent earthy notes, but not excessively oaky. It's rich and intricate.

The aroma is predominantly banana, exceptionally smooth with a slightly oily finish.

Very spicy with mint appearing on the aftertaste.
