The appearance is a deep, rich amber, leaving a thick oily ring and a substantial film. The aroma offers toasted oak, candied green apples, vanilla, and faint traces of marshmallow and raw peanut. The taste is dry and full-bodied, coating the mouth with a potent blast of pepper and baking spices that invigorates the palate as toasted oak and apple flavors intertwine. It's perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, just right for savoring. Vanilla and marshmallow softness appear once the spice mellows. As it airs, the oak becomes more prominent while the spice recedes, allowing the fruitiness to integrate more. The finish is of medium length, with a front-of-tongue spice that leaves a tingle as the toasted oak gradually fades alongside gentle apple and vanilla sweetness. Adding a touch of sweetness results in an immediate burst of creaminess in both the aroma and taste, creating a richer, creamier spirit. This is a highly complex spirit that can be enjoyed in various ways, depending on individual preference. It possesses the characteristic hallmarks of William Larue Weller, perhaps not as pronounced as in past batches, but still an exceptional whiskey.

Wow, what an aroma! It's powerful, bringing to mind brown sugar and maple pancakes, along with vanilla, cherry cola, and graham cracker. The oak is exceptional. The alcohol is present but creates a wonderful harmony with the high sweetness. It's incredible. I wish this could be made into a candle. I'm almost hesitant to taste it, wanting to savor the smell. Taste - wow. Absolutely amazing. It surpasses the nose and then some. I'm going to be greedy and just enjoy this thoroughly rather than dissecting the taste. Just trust my word... easily a 5.0. Immense gratitude to a friend for this pour.

This is the bourbon that will set the standard for all my future tastings. Flawless! Matured ideally. The aroma genuinely takes me to a storage warehouse, inhaling the spirit lost by countless barrels. The taste is divine. Classic bourbon taste and incredibly mellow at roughly 125 proof. Represents the bourbon taste spectrum as the ideal beverage.

This is among the smoothest and most approachable whiskies I've tried. The scent is very welcoming, featuring toasted oak, cinnamon, and Granny Smith apple. The taste is soft and balanced despite its high proof, with notes of caramel apple, milk chocolate, vanilla frosting, and baking spice. The finish is reminiscent of honey-roasted cashews. It has a full body and is absolutely delicious.

If the afterlife was real I'd get that sweetness on my nose with notes of flowers, brown sugar, toasted oak, vanilla, caramel, sugar cookies. On the palate it’s hot initially but then I get angel food cake, vanilla, almonds, & nutmeg

Drinking it straight. The aroma is of sweet vanilla, butterscotch, and caramel. The palate brings sweet caramel and vanilla, finishing with a long, spicy sweetness. It's quite fantastic.
