Hayden Sheridan 4.5

I sometimes hear that Willett is a distillery people either adore or detest. I am definitely in the adore group. Every time I sample their Family Estate Bourbons, I find them to be beautiful. This one is no different. It was a Husk Barrel Pick, and I tried both a 5-year barrel and a 5-year, 6-month barrel (both were said to be Wheaters). Absolutely incredible. Cherry and cinnamon were present on both the aroma and the palate. The black pepper was perfectly balanced. It smells and tastes like a wonderful cinnamon roll. Toasted, warming delight. I believe it's time for me to start seeking out some bottles with purple foil necks.

Itzel Mchenry 4.3

Familiar with Willett ryes, the taste bears some resemblance, which is a positive. Without the licorice/rye notes in the flavor, the initial strong palate sweetness coats the mouth. The 120+ proof does not detract from the great finish.

Julianne Lemke 4.5

Excellent. Just as I was taught. Adding a drop of premium water causes it to brighten, much like a sweating blueberry on the farm.

Mayra Pike 4.0

A bartender suggested this. I thought it was good. I need to pay more attention to Willett and try to find some bottles.

Jadyn Tamayo 4.5

The aroma has notes of cinnamon and honey, the taste has a pleasant warmth but remains smooth, truly delightful.

Cooper Prater 4.0

The flavor lingers on the palate long after a sip, providing a comforting warmth all the way down.
