Surprisingly vibrant, even for a four-year-old expression. Features robust rye pepper spice, notes of vanilla meringue, Meyer lemon, custard, roasted barley, and oak tannins with an herbal quality. It also presents a sweet basil aroma, deep caramel richness, sweetcorn, cinnamon, fresh coconut, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, Bartlett pear, and baked apple. A very enjoyable drink; I look forward to trying the aged versions. A friend also suggests the Kentucky Spirit if it's still available.
