Deep amber color, leaves an oily film in the glass as it coats it. The nose is gentle for its proof, starting with soft oak, baking spices, and cocoa. Creamier notes of vanilla and brown sugar emerge. Faint hints of cherry and toffee round out the aroma. The palate is somewhat dry and chewy, with creamy vanilla and spicy baking spices filling the mouth. Oak and cherry combine with toffee for a perfectly balanced experience, though it seems a bit heavy on spice. The finish is medium, with lingering baking spice and oakiness as the rest of the palate fades too quickly. A beautiful whiskey, but its short finish holds it back.
