The nose has toasted grape and caramel syrup notes, followed by a taste of toasted grape, raw vanilla, burnt caramel, and brown sugar with oak undertones. The finish is medium warm with ginger bread and sweet caramel. I heard this was a "Pappy killer." Apparently, that was incorrect information. It's not bad, but it's certainly not a Pappy Killer, at least not compared to Old Rip. I could see it being better than Pappy 12, though.
