Willett 6 Year Bourbon, Barrel 193, "Storm Dollar"

During my latest journey to Kentucky, I had the pleasure of sampling some exceptional bourbons. I’m still trying to locate a few of them to further explore their profiles. It’s quite frustrating to discover that some of these spirits are practically impossible for regular folks like me to acquire. This is one of those. I strongly suspect the only way to taste this is by purchasing a drink at the Silver Dollar in Louisville (or a similar establishment in TX). Therefore, if you happen to be in the vicinity, make sure to stop by and give it a try. The cost was reasonable for the quality. Furthermore, reviewing my records, it seems a companion on the trip added some extra remarks that I'm now keeping to document the experience. Much appreciation to a friend for their input. Smell suggests confectioners' sugar, chocolate hazelnut spread. A specific mouthfeel is my preferred sensation with this spirit. The texture is rich with sugar and molasses, gradually shifting to a fruit taste. The warmth intensifies significantly near the end. The aftertaste contains spice, additional sugar, and more fruit. A small amount of water truly enhances the fruit notes here. A resemblance to wine is also discernible. Served over ice, it's outstanding. All the sharpness vanishes, and the sweetness and fruit meld perfectly. It tastes like fruit nectar. Afterthought: I require different companions.
