An excellent aroma, drinks well below its stated proof - notes of vanilla, honey, fried pastry, a slight peppery tingle, and a medium-long finish. I'll be getting another bottle, perhaps even a third. If you're in Nashville, treat yourself and grab a bottle while they're still around. This specific barrel is outstanding.
Barrel no. 15E02-14. Warm caramel and buttery notes on the nose. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Vanilla and toasty oak notes, light warmth. It's perfect. If I could find another bottle of this, I'd buy it immediately.
This was my top pick from the evening's blind tasting. Simply outstanding all around. A great finish, fantastic flavor. Sufficient warmth to make it enjoyable.
